Centre Point South Park

Envision-Tatham provided landscape architectural services for the Centre Point South subdivision in Markdale, including the design and implementation of its neighbourhood park. The compact park brings together a range of everyday recreational opportunities within a simple and efficient layout.

Separate junior and senior playground structures, a three-bay swing set and communication panel provide varied play experiences, while a multi-use basketball court supports court sports and informal games. A central seating and picnic area creates a comfortable place for gathering and supervision, with open lawn providing additional space for unstructured play.

Looping asphalt pathways connect the park’s amenities and create an informal circuit where younger children can safely develop cycling and wheeled-play skills. Extensive tree planting provides structure to the open landscape, establishes future shade, and creates landscaped buffers along neighbouring residential properties.

Together, the park’s play, sport, seating, pathways and open space create a welcoming and functional neighbourhood amenity integrated into the surrounding residential community.
