Mariners Haven Improvements

Mariners Haven is one of Collingwood’s original exclusive condominium developments comprised of 32 units arranged around a private harbour. Constructed in the 1970’s, it began to experience an expected level of fatigue and through the foresight of the Condominium Board, Mariners Haven underwent notable architectural and site improvements. Envision-Tatham was retained to assess the existing landscape and provide recommendations related to plant management. Based on our conclusions, we prepared a comprehensive site improvements plan that involved the management of existing vegetation, replacement of entrance porches, walkways, and plantings, as well as the installation of goose management features and customized landscaping for each unit. To support the Board’s consensus building, Envision-Tatham developed capital budgets and made various concept presentations to the residents. Completed 2009, the site improvements have re-invigorated Mariners Haven, giving it a context representative of this community’s pride.
